| Description | King Orchards We are a family of farmers established in 1980. Our orchards are located on the northern edge of Michigan’s famed cherry growing region, atop glacier-formed ridges and rolling hills near Torch Lake and Lake Michigan’s Grand Traverse Bay. We love the farming life and work hard to grow quality fruit. We wholeheartedly welcome visitors to our farm, treating them as part of the family. We love sharing the abundance (and joy!) of our harvest with our customers. We take pride in getting our hands dirty and seeing the smiles that result. Our passion is contagious—come visit us and we think you’ll agree! King Orchards is a smaller producer, specializing in the highest quality concentrate for export markets. Our cherries are grown specifically for concentrate and 100% of our concentrate is made from whole fruit, not from juice runoff of other processing lines. The result is a higher juice – one that has better color, flavor, aroma and health benefits. We have been exporting our concentrate for thirteen years and we are the most MRL (maximum residue level) conscious producer in the industry. Montmorency Cherry Juice is an excellent flavor addition to your beverage line. Rich in color and tart in flavor – it is very versatile in flavoring for beer, hard cider or wine. Montmorency Cherries have been grown in the Northwest region of Michigan’s Lower Peninsula for more than a century. The sandy soil, rolling hills and proximity to Lake Michigan were influential in making the region the “Cherry Capital”. The Montmorency cherry’s historical fame lies in the filling for America’s dessert, the cherry pie. However, in the recent decade or so, attention has been turned to health benefits of Montmorency cherries and Montmorency Cherry Juice Concentrate has risen as a “Superfruit”. In fact, more than 70 studies have examined the potential health benefits of Montmorency tart cherries, and the research is continuing. This research strongly supports the anti-inflammatory qualities of Montmorency tart cherries, as well as the benefits of muscle recovery and pain relief from conditions like arthritis. Studies have also found that Montmorency tart cherries contain Melatonin, a naturally occurring substance that helps regulate sleep patterns.
