| Description | SURAY WALLCOVERINGS established in Hong Kong in 1970. In 1988, SUNRAY correctly seized the opportunities in Taiwan and moved its manufacturing subsidiary to mainland China. SUNNY WALLCOVERINGS MANUFACTURING thus sought new life in Zhuhai, China. In 1989, SUNRAY developed an "In-line in-register gravure printing and embossing machine", and became the first manufacturer in Asia to produce in-registered vinyl wallcovering. With hindsight, in-registered vinyl wallcovering resuscitated the declining wallcovering industry in China. In the mid 1990s, SUNRAY invested in another wallpaper factory in Zhuhai, China, and boldly imported a new set of world-class production machineries from Europe: - first was an Italian made SCHIAVI gravure printing machine, which can print up to 18,000m/hour. Also two English made EMERSON & RENWICK in-registration embossers, each embosser production capacity can reach up to 6,000m/hour. SUNRAY also installed an EMERSON & RENWICK double-width coating machine with maximum capacity of 20,000 rolls daily. This new production plant gradually took over the old one, and by replacing the older equipments, SUNRAY had greatly increased its production output, precision, and quality. Today, SUNRAY WALLCOVERINGS has an accumulative experience of four decades with the most qualified wallcovering professionals in China. Most importantly, SUNRAY holds fast to its belief in design originality, setting design studios in Germany, Hong Kong, and Zhuhai with highly skilled designers. They constantly pursue in design developments and technical innovations in hope to lead a brighter future for the Chinese wallcovering industry and to build a good reputation worldwide. Moreover, SUNRAY has had a close working relationship with the key wallpaper manufacturers in both Europe and America spanning forty years, thereby giving it an insight into the design and technical innovations as they happen. This unique combination of in-house expertise and the symbiotic relationship with its western counterparts had enabled the company to become the only manufacturer in China capable of competing with western manufacturers on an equal footing giving rise to a reputation for quality and innovation unparalleled in China. |
