| Description | Brief Introduction to CCOEC Established with the approval of the State Council in 1965, China National Corporation for Overseas Economic Cooperation (abbreviated as CCOEC) is a wholly-funded subsidiary of China General Technology (Group) Holding, Limited (abbreviated as Genertec) and one of China’s earliest state-owned key integrated enterprises specialized in international trade and economic cooperation. Thanks to its powerful business capacity, CCOEC plays an important role in the development of the country’s foreign trade and economic cooperation. By virtue of its excellent performance and credit standing as well as its management credentials and affluent experience in foreign-related matters, CCOEC, a mainstay of China’s foreign economic aid, has conducted extensive cooperation with over 100 countries and regions in the world, and provided materials, equipment and technical services for over 600 foreign economic aid projects, with its business operations involving such fields as energy， agriculture, light industry, health, communications, construction, chemical industry, telecommunications, urban infrastructure, etc. Hence, CCOEC has been commended many times by the Chinese Government and won great acclaim from the recipient countries. Seizing the critical juncture of the enlarged meeting of Genertec’s leadership group convened at Nandaihe in 2007, CCOEC started to exert itself in exploiting the overseas market, and implement the development strategy of transforming and upgrading itself into a specialized international engineering contractor and engineering project manager. Hence, it has achieved the formation of a tripartite operational configuration with international engineering contracting as the locomotive, foreign economic aid as the basis and driving the development and upgrading of the industry of construction and building materials. Over the past two years, CCOEC has committed itself to developing international power energy market, obtained breakthroughs in the market of Belarus, Turkey, Jamaica, etc., and achieved a best ever start in terms of transformation and upgrading, and in particular, the No. 5 Thermal Power Station contracted and constructed by CCOEC in Minsk, Belarus is the largest one of its kind in China-Belarus bilateral cooperation, and the 9F power generating unit used in the said project helped to realize China’s long-cherished dream of technology and equipment import of gas power plant - assimilation and absorption - innovation - re-export. With its successful projects completed one after another, CCOEC has secured its quantitative accumulation and qualitative leaps pertinent to its structural transformation and upgrading, which shall usher the company into a completely new phase of development.
